Bringing the Community Together

The Union Local band takes great pride in hosting this Family Christmas Fun Festival. It serves as a community outreach program, offering families a delightful evening filled with the essence of Christmas. Co-organizer Jessica Compher emphasizes that this fundraising event stands out as it doesn't burden individual students with the task of selling items, a challenge that has been faced in recent efforts. For just $1 per person, attendees can enter the event and enjoy a plethora of activities. Picture with Santa, a meet and greet with the Grinch and Olaf from Disney's "Frozen", a "Polar Express" sleigh ride, temporary tattoos, a scavenger hunt, an ugly Christmas sweater competition, and a station to make a holiday craft are all included in the entry fee. There are also several activity booths with prizes for the children attending without any additional cost."We want this event to spread joy and bring our community together," Compher passionately states. "Families can spend quality time together, playing games, sipping hot chocolate, and taking the Polar Express-themed wagon ride."

Game tokens are required for the various additional activities provided by the band. Some of the games include a giant Connect Four, Plinko, snowball tosses, pin the nose on the snowman, reindeer ring toss, snowman building, snowball slingshot, spin it to win it, making reindeer food, tin can knock down, and many more, giving participants a chance to showcase their skills. If 25 tokens aren't sufficient, you can purchase more for $5.The first 200 children at the event are guaranteed a small gift from Santa.
