Great Falls is home to a remarkable group known as the 'Does' of the Great Falls Elks Lodge. These female counterparts have consistently shown their generosity and community spirit by raising significant funds for non-profits.

Empowering Non-profits with 'Does' Generosity

Non-profits Directly Benefitting Women and Children

The 'Does' of the Great Falls Elks Lodge have made it their mission to focus on non-profits that directly benefit women and children. With their efforts, nine organizations have received a much-needed boost. Toby's House, Peace Place, The YWCA, The Children's Receiving Home, The Cameron Center and Women's Shelter, Grace Haven, Meals on Wheels, and The Boys and Girls Club are among the recipients. As Jean Beirley, President of the Does, states, "We're small, but we're mighty. We're keeping the idea of charity and giving back to the community alive."This support has had a tangible impact. Toby's House Crisis Nursery can now save for weekend staffing, ensuring that children in need have a safe place to stay. Grace Haven, with the help of the funds, can afford a fire suppression system, allowing them to expand their capacity from four to eight families. These are just a few examples of how the 'Does' are making a difference.

Collective Teamwork for Community Help

All of the organizations supported by the 'Does' are non-profits, working together as teammates. As Leesha Ford, Board Chair of Toby's House, explains, "We're all trying from different aspects around the community to reach out and help those in need and provide a hand up." This collective effort shows the power of unity in making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.To date, the 'Does' have raised roughly one-hundred thousand dollars for various non-profits. Their dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. They continue to inspire others with their commitment to giving back and making a difference in the Great Falls community.
