Kristopher Poorman, 33, was apprehended at the scene of the wreck that occurred in the early hours of Thursday. He was charged with a DUI and was released on bond around 11:30 that same morning.

Around 3 a.m. on Thursday, on the corner of Southwest Bell Rd. and Southwest Quail Ridge Ln., neighbors were awakened by a loud crash. Quentin Rice, who lives right next door, described the sound as quite terrifying as they had no idea what was happening. Police found a car that had crashed through the fence, entered a backyard, and made its way into the living room and kitchen of a home. Thankfully, no one was injured in this harrowing incident.Markeith Tyree, who has lived in the area for 27 years, expressed his concerns. He said that cars seem to speed through this particular area with disregard. "It's obvious that they aren't paying attention to the sign," he stated. "You see the sign right here indicating 25 miles per hour, yet they clearly didn't see it as they went straight into the house." Tyree also recounted that cars have previously veered off the road in this neighborhood. On Saturday, a truck ran into a utility box, cutting off his power.Call for Increased Police Patrols
