Martha Stewart's Thanksgiving Pie Journey - From Mistakes to Deliciousness

Preparing the Pies

Martha Stewart began her post on social media by listing the various pies she baked. "Total pies baked 35 – Chocolate pecan, brown butter maple rum pecan, pumpkin phyllo, apple crumb, and cranberry!" These pies were a result of her meticulous efforts and attention to detail. She used a large quantity of ingredients, such as 100 eggs, 14 pounds of pecan halves, eleven jars of Karo syrup, 25 pounds of heckers flour, thirty pounds of plugra butter, six cups of maple syrup, 60 ounces of pumpkin puree, and 18 cups of fresh cranberries. However, she made a small oversight by forgetting to place cookie sheets under some of the pies, which led to them bubbling and oozing everywhere. But despite this, the pies were delicious, as she herself concluded.

To give a visual treat to her followers, Stewart uploaded a carousel of images on Instagram, including close-up photos of all her different pies. Each pie was a work of art, with its unique flavors and textures. This not only showcased her baking skills but also gave her fans a glimpse into her Thanksgiving celebration.

Stewart's Career Journey

Before becoming the face of her popular lifestyle brand, Martha Stewart had an interesting career path. She started as a stockbroker on Wall Street. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in history and architectural history from Barnard College and marrying Andrew Stewart, she transitioned into a new career by opening a catering company. In 1982, her first book, "Entertaining," was published, focusing on how to host gatherings of all sizes. This was followed by her lifestyle magazine, published by Time Publishing Ventures, and her syndicated TV show, "Martha Stewart Living." From there, she began launching different product lines centered around housewares, which led to the establishment of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and its public listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 1999.

However, her career took a turn in 2004 when she spent five months in prison and five months under house arrest due to her involvement in insider trading. After serving her sentence, she made a remarkable comeback and continued to maintain a strong presence on TV through shows like "Martha Bakes" and "Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart." She also teamed up with Snoop Dogg on several occasions, including for the TV series "Martha & Snoop's Potluck Party Challenge."
