Embark on a Galactic Journey with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
Game Details and Setting
The new game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, was announced on Thursday in a cryptic trailer at the Game Awards. It showed a few seconds of gameplay where the protagonist battles a hulking cyborg with swordlike weapons. The story is set in an alternative universe where space travel has significantly advanced by 1986. Druckmann declined to share many details about the game, which is the first original story he and his team have created in almost 15 years and does not have a release date.
This return to Naughty Dog's roots in the action-adventure genre takes inspiration from classic anime like the 1988 movie "Akira" and the 1990s series "Cowboy Bebop". It showcases a unique blend of elements that are sure to captivate gamers.
Studio and Creative Team
Studio head Neil Druckmann, from Naughty Dog owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment, is at the helm of this exciting project. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, known for their film scores in "Challengers" and "The Social Network", have composed the soundtrack for Intergalactic. Tati Gabrielle ("Chilling Adventures of Sabrina") will star as the bounty hunter, Jordan Mun, and Kumail Nanjiani ("Silicon Valley") will play Colin Graves, one of her wanted men. Their combined talents promise an immersive gaming experience.
The creative team's efforts are evident in the trailer and the concept of the game. It has the potential to be a game-changer in the gaming industry.
